Who runs dmatgrid, and why it costs nothing.

dmatgrid is an independent preparation resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to g.a.s.t., APS India, the DAAD, or any German university. Nothing here is an official dMAT product, and no result from this site counts towards anything.

The only bodies that can tell you what the dMAT requires are g.a.s.t., who run the test, and APS India, who run the verification process it feeds into. Where this site states a date, a fee or a rule, it says when that was last checked against them and links to the source. Where something could not be confirmed, it says that too.

There is no advertising, no affiliate link and no paid placement anywhere on this site, so nothing here is steering you toward a product. Nobody pays to be mentioned, and there is nothing to buy.

The practice tasks are original and generated on your own device, which is why there is an unlimited supply of them and why the mock test works with no internet connection. They are not scraped from anywhere and they are not copies of real exam questions.

Every task is checked before it is shown. A Latin square is only used if exactly one letter can legally sit in the marked cell — proved by an exhaustive search, not assumed — and if that cell can be reached by a chain of forced deductions. The chain the solver found is the working you read afterwards, so the explanation is the reasoning that actually solved it rather than a description written after the fact. Equation systems are only used when they have exactly one solution. Figure series are simulated across all six matrices and rejected if any figure overlaps another or leaves the grid.

The worked examples on the subtest pages came out of those same generators, and an automated test re-derives every answer and every reasoning step on each build. If a published answer were wrong, the build would fail before the page shipped.

The pages carrying dMAT facts — the exam pattern, eligibility, dates and fees, and the FAQ — each show when they were last checked and against which source. That date is not a build timestamp. It only moves when someone opens the official pages and re-reads them.

Where a figure could not be confirmed at the last check, the page says so rather than presenting it as verified. This applies to the fees at present, and the note stays until they are re-confirmed.
